Pinoy Scientist to Launch an Affordable Solution to Malnutrition

The big deal of providing an affordable solution to malnutrition in the Philippines (and hopefully throughout the world) has been answered thanks to facebook! My friend Donna (registered pharmacists from the Philippines), has discovered a powerful formula that may help aid parents of malnourished children. Her quest to this exciting discovery started when a couple of months ago, she moved to Boracay Island to take a break from her life. Instead of partying and going out, what preoccupied her mind was the undernourished child population of the local Aeta tribe. According to her, these Aetas ere everywhere outside of bars, clubs, and restaurants begging for money from the tourists even at the wee hours of the morning. These kids were undernourished in all sense – their growths were wasted, stunted, a combination of both, and most likely micronutrient deficient as well. The situation had her thinking and based on the findings of her online research, she ealized how much of a pr

Instrumentation and Control System Certification in the Philippines

Instrumentation is the art and science of measurement and control of process variables within a production, or manufacturing area while control system is the device, or set of devices used to manage, command, direct or regulate the behavior of other devices or system. You might ask why is it necessary to write an article about this? Recently, I have encountered several queries from facebook with regards to certification of certain engineers to the instrumentation and control system field. Although, I am not a pro when it comes to this subject, I have some experiences with companies which offer this training and certification. From what I saw in Coca Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc. Nature's Spring, and a certain power generation company, the need for instrumentation and control engineers is really flourishing. Now, if you want to delve on this relatively rewarding industry, I know of a training center in Cebu and Manila where you might want to spend two weeks of your time to

Test Taking Strategies for Fresh Graduates

Test Taking Strategies for Fresh Graduates. How to take an occupational test? How to prepare for tests? How to answer employee questions? Tips for taking tests! These are some of the reverberating excerpts I hear a lot of times from fresh graduates of many universities. I wish to shed some light into this matter by sharing experiences I had with several multinational companies that I applied and worked for. Today, I will be speaking and sharing the wonderful sets of learning I gained to 200 graduating students of  University of Iloilo-PHINMA Education Network. I wish to be of help to these students by exposing to them the common tests that employers give, how to prepare for an examination, how to prepare for the big battle (of passing the test of the student's company of choice). This is my street-wise approach that I use and for many years have led me to join big companies. If you wish to grab a copy of this training, please leave your e-mail address by posting under the c

Birthday Ideas for the Filipino Guys between 25 and 30 years old

PARTY ROCKIN' IN THE HOUSE TONIGHT Short Recall Today its my birthday! So before moving on with birthday ideas, I'd like recall the previous year's highlights so we can clearly move forward. In the night of December 31, 2010 I prayed for my personal direction and my corporate direction. It was revealed that the year 2011 will be a turbulent one. So I prayed that I will be guided accordingly thus our (me, my baby and our group) thrust for last year was about CLARITY in DIRECTION. Indeed, because of that clarity, our tutorial center-KANIYAH Learning and Talent Center (click here) managed to survive its year of operation. Thanks in large part to its beautiful manager, Francine and her talented secretary Remar! The targets have been somehow met and we place further stress on achieving more this year so please pray for us. I ventured into another small business- Event Specialist+ (search for it on facebook) which handles big events for the visayas region. I am curr
